What the Pro version adds
The free Turn Off Screen does one thing: a tap locks the display so the power button does not wear out. Pro keeps that and adds the features people asked for once they had stopped using the button altogether.
Shake-to-wake is the most requested. If your power button is broken rather than merely worn, turning the screen off is only half the problem — you also need a way back. Shake detection gives you that without touching the button at all, which for a phone with a genuinely dead button is the difference between usable and scrap.
Scheduling turns the screen off automatically at set times, and proximity-sensor control lets a hand pass over the top of the phone to trigger it, which is useful when your hands are wet or occupied.
The same device admin caveat
Like the free version, Pro needs Device Administrator permission, because that is the only Android API that can switch the display off. The consequence is the same: while the permission is held, Android blocks the normal uninstall route. Revoke device admin in Settings first, then uninstall.
Whether you need it
If your power button works and you just want to spare it, the free version is enough and we would rather you used it. Pro earns its place when the button has already failed, when you want the screen off on a schedule, or when hands-free triggering solves a real problem in how you use the phone.

Is it available on iOS?
No. iOS provides no API for a third-party app to turn the display off, so both Turn Off Screen and Turn Off Screen Pro are Android-only.
